Allmänt
This virtually indestructible instrument has a well-defined fundamentalis tone and produces an impressive volume thanks to the two types of wood that it's made of. Meinl chose to make the body of this wood block out of a single piece of solid rubberwood, and created a sound chamber in the centre. The playing surface is made of rosewood. Combined with the included hardwood beater, this produces an excellent sharp attack with great resonance. As a finishing touch, the Meinl logo was hot-branded onto the body.
