Meinl sure knows how to make proper use of real Brazilian rubberwood. They incorporated it into this wood block, resulting in a great-sounding, nigh-indestructible instrument, and gave the whole a sleek black finish to give it a professional look. Furthermore, the wood block features a resonance chamber, which increases its volume and allows for a great, open tone. The rounded sides ensure the instrument is very comfortable to hold. Wooden beater included.

The build quality of the woodblock is very solid, however, it is louder than I had previously expected, which is useful when recording it via a microphone.
Furthermore, the delivery was very quick. The product was delivered in less than a day.
