Bearing boutique-grade features for a surprising price, this five-string stomper from Ibanez has all the comfort of an SR body shape and all the playability of a multi-scale neck. The construction of the Ibanez SRMS806 bass starts with a solid okoume body with the liquid look of a deluxe poplar burl top, and ends with a bolt-on five-piece jatoba and walnut neck finished with a panga panga fretboard. You might not be familiar with panga panga, and it's certainly not common, but here it's been used for it's tonal warmth and stunning wood structure, backing up a set of twenty-four fanned medium frets and inlaid position markers.
