The models crafted in the Ibanez Bass Workshop are known to pack high-grade build quality and a striking design, and the headless EHB1000S with its extremely comfortable, shorter scale length is no exception. However, it's not just the 30" scale length that's responsible for the superb playing comfort this ergonomic bass offers. Along with a relatively flat fretboard radius, 24 hard-wearing stainless steel medium frets and a number of ever-helpful luminescent side-dots, the unshakably stable graphite-reinforced 5-piece maple neck definitely contributes as well, and has been firmly bolted to the chambered body made of American basswood. So you can whip up a wide range of tight, round and forcefully amplified sounds, this EHB Series bass comes armed with two Bartolini BH2 pickups and an active preamp with built-in Vari-Mid 3-band EQ, and Ibanez even sweeten the deal some more by thoughtfully including a matching gig bag and a set of Schaller straplocks.

Fantastic bass. Plays and sounds very smooth and responsive. Light as a feather at around 3kg(?) or so. The shortscale makes it very easy for my small guitarist hands to play. The finish and the roasted birdseye maple fretboard look amazing. In love with this bass.
I don't think Ibanez has a manual for its headless basses yet, which is strange but the website has the main EQ controls and frequency response so that's something.

Goed geluid, shortscale speelt heel fijn.
Afwerking en quality control, zwaar waardeloos voor gitaar van deze prijs uit Indonesie:
- Zitten nog allemaal splinters bij de bevestigingsgaten van de hals die gewoon meegelakt zijn
- Stuk body waar de brug / stemmechanieken bevestigd zitten is totaal niet geschuurd na frezen en is ook gewoon meegelakt terwijl de splinters/bramen er nog op zitten
- Actieve EQ deed het in eerste instantie niet, kwam door de spaghetti bende die ze achter hebben gelaten in de holte waar de EQ en potmeters zitten (kortsluiting)
Kan er wel mee leven, maar denk (uit mijn ervaring) dat je in dit prijssegment beter voor een Schecter of Fender kunt gaan. Ibanez uit Indonesie voelt beetje aan als mooi materiaal (want de brugzadels, pickups, actieve EQ, etc. is allemaal mooi spul) dat verloren is gegaan aan belabberd vakmanschap van incompetente mensen.
