Ibanez SR305EBL-WK: solid bass
The Ibanez SR305EBL-WK has a solid bass sound with brightness and warmth thanks to the mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard, respectively. Two humbuckers and active electronics ensure that even the sound of the low B string will come through clearly. A 3-band EQ means that you can customise your sound to perfection. If you want to make the transition from four strings to five, or if you just want to add a 5-string bass to your collection, the Ibanez SR305EBL-WK is an excellent choice.

Ik speel zelf gitaar, maar wilde graag ook een bas. Dit is een hele fijne - behoorlijk lichtgewicht, en een nek die super lekker speelt - zeker voor een 5-string. Ze hangt heerlijk van de strap - zeer prettig in balans. Geluid is prima - de (actieve) EQ werkt als een tierelier. Enig minpuntje was de set-up: de B-snaar had enorme buzz. Ibanez levert echter 3 verschillende Allen keys (en een kabel: klasse) bij deze bas: na een kwartiertje tweaken met een tuner was 'ie heerlijk speelbaar. Dit is een geweldig instrument voor een geweldige prijs - zeker voor ons linkshandigen! Ik kan 'm je aanraden.

Delivered quickly. Setup was near perfect straight out of the box. Beautiful left-handed bass looks the part in weathered black. Once tuned surprisingly has stayed in tune despite daily use. That extra B, 5th string, makes a real difference to my Linkin Park rendition of "What I've done". I'm impressed lovely really low growling Bass sound. Also bought the MRB500C case to put it in.
