The black Roland PD-105Bk V-Pad is the ideal electronic equivalent of a snare or a tom. This 10-inch digital drum pad with its improved sensitivity can be connected to your Roland drum module, after which you can use it to create any sound you like. It is compatible with all Roland TD modules, but combine it with the TD-20, TD-12, TD-10 or TD-8 to make use of its full potential.

PD105BK: dual trigger and brush techniques

The Roland PD-105 is equipped with a dual-trigger system. This means it can distinguish between a hit on the drumhead and a rimshot. Connect it to the snare drum input of the TD-20 or TD-12, and you can also use brush techniques. With those modules, the dual-triggering technology even works for the tom inputs.

The drumhead

The Roland PD105 is equipped with a mesh head. When compared to a rubber pad, this type of pad resembles the response (the way your drum stick rebounds) and the looks of an acoustic drum more closely and is also more quiet. This 10-inch pad can easily be used as a snare, combined with two or three 8-inch pads (PD-85BK) as toms.
