This MIDI-interface allows you to connect a MIDI-device to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
On the road producing with the iRig MIDI
Producers often find inspiration for a melody, when they are on the road. This melody of course has to be recorded before you cannot remember it anymore! The iRig MIDI allows you to connect a simple MIDI keyboard to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad; so that you can quickly play and record this melody. This allows you to let your imagination run wild while your on the road and you can experiment with a variety of sounds and melody lines.
The MIDI interface that offers more
Besides the possibility of connecting MIDI keyboards, you can also connect pedal boards, drum pads and drum machines to this MIDI interface. Use the free SampleTank software or even Garageband, the choice is up to you. The iRig offers MIDI-possibilities on the road, at home or wherever you want to use it.

Cet adaptateur fait ce qu'on lui demande, en tous cas entre un iPad et un clavier, pour faire tourner une application de contrôle des voix. Marche même avec un iPad Air par l'intermédiaire du convertissseur lightning/30 broches Apple (ce dont je n'étais pas sûr).
La construction semble bonne, donc c'est une meilleure affaire que le produit Apple plus cher et sans alimentation pour épargner la batterie de l'iPad (du moins si on dispose d'un port USB transmettant l'alimentation, ce qui n'est pas le cas de tous sur les instruments)

Prima product, met gratis versie sampletank, paar mooie instrumenten kado dus...
Lijkt degelijk te zijn, handig dat je tegelijkertijd je ipad nog kunt opladen.
Snelle levering door Bax shop.
IRig midi interface werkt prima met mijn ipad 2. Leuk in combinatie met GarageBand of andere apps op de ipad (afspelen van samples etc).
Zoals altijd snel geleverd, goed ingepakt, geen verrassingen.
Het ding zelf doet wat het beloofd te doen : midi in, uit en through (niet getest), geen merkbare latency (vertraging) met de ipad. Ik werk met een oude Korg X5, en dat gaat perfect. Ook belangrijk is dat je de gewone ipad oplader kunt gebruiken tijdens het spelen.
Enig minpuntje is dat de stekker die in de ipad gaat nogal breed is en daardoor zou het kunnen dat de beschermhoes van de ipad (afhankelijk van het type) in de weg zit. Bij mij gaat het maar net...
