Every lighting technician will be familiar with ACL spotlights, which are PARcans with a very barrow beam that can generate a fan-shaped effect. You can do without those now, as Eurolite present the SCY-Bar. This system consists of six TriColor LED spotlights mounted to a bar!
Design and technology behind the SCY-Bar
Seven years ago, people still claimed that LED technology wouldn't be used in professional situations, but that can now easily be dismissed. Nowadays, LED technology can be found in almost any lighting product. Its many benefits are quite clear - from producing many different colours to the limited energy consumption.
The SCY-Bar is really an effect bar, and a great alternative to the ACL spotlights. Thanks to the narrow beams, it allows for beautiful fan-shaped effects in many different colours. TCL (Tri Colour LED) technology makes it possible to create a sublime colour blend. The bar can be mounted to a truss or a stand, but can also be placed firmly on the ground, thanks to its rugged feet. It can function as a fan when it's mounted in a truss, but it can also be placed behind the DJ or to a wall. This basic yet brilliant system will definitely simulate your own creativity.
Controls and technical information
Of course, this bar doesn't lack a DMX function either, and as such it lets you make the most of the bar and the spotlights. With some (software) controls, you can effortlessly create smooth chases and simulate halogen dimmer curves. You can choose between a 7 or 20-channel control. Do you prefer not to use such elaborate controls? You can also control its basic functions via a simple optional RC-2 controller, but sound-driven and automatic modes are also possible.
A rugged metal housing protects its internal components and with the included transport bag, you can safely store the bar with spotlights during transport. The total power consumption of the entire bar is only 70 watts so multiple fans or a matrix construction can be realised without having to use a lot of power!

Ik vind deze disco lamp erg goed. Hij is lekker compact maar er zitten toch 6 lichten op. Dat is ook de reden waarom ik deze lamp heb gekocht. Want ik gebruik hem thuis en de kamer waar ik hem gebruik is niet zo groot. Dus heb ik deze gekocht omdat hij compact is en hij heeft toch 6 lichten.
Pluspunten:

+ Er zit een handige tas bij om dit licht te vervoeren
+ Er zitten al veel standaard mogelijkheden op

Minpunten:
-Ik heb er een DMX operator op aangesloten alleen ik vind dat er niet zoveel mogelijkheden dan zijn
-Als je bijvoorbeeld de kleur wit wilt hebben gaan de kleuren rood, groen en blauw aan dan krijg je ook de kleur wit alleen je ziet dan wel aan de randen van de cirkel de kleuren rood, groen en blauw. Dit gebeurt ook bij de andere kleuren die hij moet mengen.
