Nowadays, we like things to be smaller, more compact and more powerful. The same goes for LED moving heads. The first versions were fairly bulky, and the challenge today is to get the most effect from the smallest fixture. The X-Move LED is a fine example of this re-sizing. To keep up with the trend, American DJ have developed this petite LED moving head. It is equipped with a 25-watt LED light source, producing a high light output, in a compact housing so that several of these fixtures can share a manageable flight case.

Technology of the X-Move LED 25R

In addition to space the X-move also saves energy, thanks to its 25W LED light source and the highly economical electronics such as stepper motors, displays and a chip board, the total power consumption has a maximum of 75 watts per device. But there's more than skimping to the X-move moving head, as it is equipped with great extras like replaceable rotating gobos so you can project corporate logos or other patterns.

Controls and operation of the moving head

The X-Move LED 25R can be used in several different ways, like a music or master/slave setting for more basic applications. If there happens to be a light technician with a light mixer, you can opt for the DMX-controlled mode that allows you to control the motions, colours, intensity, strobe effects, you name it. You can fly the moving head from a truss with a G hook or half coupler, or place it on a stand or DJ booth.
