Aphex, renowned for their preamps and effects gear, offer a professional USB microphone - the Aphex Microphone X. You can connect the sensitive condenser microphone directly to the USB input of your laptop, in order to subsequently create recordings in 24 bit/96 kHz quality. The Microphone X stands out thanks to its built-in preamp which, as we might expect from Aphex, is of excellent quality. The same goes for the highly powerful, clear-sounding headphone preamp.
Timbre of the Microphone X
In its neutral setting, this large-diaphragm condenser already allows for a warm sound, fit for professional voice overs and radio broadcasts, among other things. If you switch on the Big Bottom, the low frequencies receive a nice punch (while the volume is retained), whereas the legendary Exciter adds an impressive amount of clarity to the recording. A smooth optical compressor keeps volume peaks under control, for a balanced output to your DAW.

Super micro, bien emballé livré en temps et en heure.
Marche super bien sur mon Mac, juste le son enregistrement qui est un peu bas, la qualité est formidable et la prise de son est sans parasites !
Hele goede microfoon! Neemt mooi geluid op. Ik neem mijn gitaar, keyboard en zang ermee op en dat klinkt prachtig! Wel aan te raden om een pop filter erbij te kopen als je wil zingen of praten (dit houdt de grootste geluidsgolven tegen zodat je geen windeffect krijgt). Die heb je voor 16 euro al, bij bax-shop. Zeker een aanrader!

Ik ben echt onder de indruk van deze microfoon. Het geluid wordt heel zuiver opgenomen en de mogelijkheden om te klinken (big bottom) alsof het in een professionele studio is opgenomen is geweldig.
Het wordt nog mooier: er zit in de verpakking ook een tafelstatief bij. Wel eenvoudig, maar toch. Daarnaast ook nog opname software, Harrison mixbus!
