The WS-TR215S is a great instrument for anyone wanting to get started with the trumpet. It is, indeed, an entry-level Bb trumpet, but don't let that fool you! It has everything you need - it even comes with a mouthpiece and an ABS case. The only thing you'll have to do to develop your skills is sign up for lessons or join a music collective and then practice, practice, practice.
Stagg WS-TR215S Bb Trumpet
This instrument has all of the features you'd expect from a more expensive trumpet. It features stainless steel valves, a thumb rest on the first slide, an adjustable third slide ring, and two waterkeys (with corks). The bell has a diameter of 125 mm, and the 11.66mm bore makes this instrument ideal for beginners. That's because it's easier to get a good tone out of a smaller bore. Once you've developed your playing, you can invest in a more expensive trumpet with a larger bore and a different bell size! In any case, with the WS-TR215S you or your child is going to be able to happily play the trumpet for years.

Good beginner trumpet, cheap but works fine. However, the adjustable third slide ring always comes loose so that's annoying. But for the price it's an acceptable trumpet for someone who is a beginner and is maybe not sure if they will keep playing trumpet. It's not a big investment. Lacquer comes off in some small spots after a year. Soft case (picture is wrong) is fine too. Standard 7c mouthpiece included. Everything is included, except cleaning utensils.
