Allmänt

Since flat-wound strings are usually the jazz standard, Thomastik BB112 Jazz BeBop strings are maybe the only set of roundwound jazz strings you could name. While these strings are definitely roundwound, they've been made following the same recipe and materials as that of the Jazz Swing Flatwounds. The only difference is that these Jazz BeBop Series strings are wound for an injection of transparent bite while maintaining that authentic jazz tone. In short, they are very literally made for BeBop style jazz.

Features of the Thomastik BB112 Jazz BeBop Strings

The BB112 is a light-gauge pack including .012 to .050 inch gauge strings. Since the G isn't wound, this set makes for outstandingly smooth string bends and, since each string has a round core, they are able to vibrate optimally in every direction, resulting in a more powerful overall tone. Two lengths of pure nickel are wrapped around the core and are relatively thick, meaning that the winding sits tighter and closer together for a more slick playing feel and reduced finger-noise.
