Sabian is one of the biggest and best cymbal manufacturers in the world, and can count itself as one of the 'big four' cymbal manufacturers (together with Zildjian, Paiste and Meinl). The company originated in Meductic, Canada in 1981, when Robert Zildjian (that's right) left his family's company to start his own business and named it after his three children, Sally Bill and Andy (SaBiAn). Sabian's AA cymbals are machine-made (AA stands for Automated Anvil), and possess a bright, vintage sound that makes them very versatile and suited for a wide range of genres.
