Each of the shells that make up the Tama STAR TW30CZSA Walnut three-piece has been finished with an extra two outer plies of Japanese Sen wood, granting drummers extra-warm and extra-expressive sound. Beyond that, you're getting the full Tama treatment: a supreme level of detailed, high-precision build quality that continues on from the Starclassic Series. Beneath the extra outer layers, the tom shells feature a six-ply walnut construction, resulting in an ultra-thin 6 millimetre profile, while the bass drum shell features seven plies of walnut for a 7 millimetre profile. This edition of the Tama STAR TW30CZSA shell set also comes in a Garnet Japanese Sen Burst finish to complete the show-ready look.

The natural warmth and deep bass response of the walnut wood definitely supports the more nuanced work of jazz drumming as well as the punch demanded by blues and rock drumming.
