Compatibility of SDXC

SDXC stands for SD Extended Capacity. A card like this is based on the SDA 3.0 specification. SDXC storage capacities range from 64 GB to 2 TB. SDXC uses another file format: exFAT, which works differently than the one used on traditional SD cards. This format isn't backwards compatible with devices that only use SD (128 MB - 2 GB). Please note: most devices made after 2010 are SDXC-compatible. How do you know if your device is compatible? Look for the SDXC logo on cards and devices, like camcorders and cameras. The exFAT format is supported by the following operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Vista (requires update Service Pack 1 or update Service Pack 2), Windows XP (requires patch update) and Mac OS X (requires Mac OS X version 10.6.6 and higher)*.
