In the past few decades, more and more indie and bluegrass musicians discovered that travel guitars pack way more bright-sounding potential than anyone ever thought. As such, the demand for them has been steadily increasing ever since, so James Neligan acted and subsequently released the Asy-A mini steel-string guitar: a small auditorium model with fully grown specifications.
Solid Spruce Top
A guitar this size obviously doesn't get most of its volume from its resonance chamber but in fact depends on its construction and the wood used for the build. Needless to say, both are up to snuff here. The top of the Asy-A is made of solid spruce for enhanced resonance and more volume compared to laminated wood, resulting in a tight, bright sound teeming with dynamics.
Well-Balanced
The sparkling sound of the spruce top is balanced out with the warm tone coming from the mahogany back and sides, and even the rosewood fretboard and mahogany neck add welcome harmonics to the overall sound. The result is a well balanced travel guitar that naturally comes complete with a matching gig bag.

Cette guitare est vraiment sympa : de voyage, oui, mais pas trop petite et elle sonne bien et en particulier en la branchant avec un micro que j'ai mis dans la rosace.
Par contre elle a l'air un peu fragile : le vernis près de la rosace s'est déjà écaillé (d'où seulement 4 étoiles).
