Allmänt

Zoom's XYH-6 X/Y microphone capsule consists of two matched high-quality unidirectional microphones that can be attached to your Zoom H5 or H6. Mics with a unidirectional pickup pattern are mostly sensitive to audio signals coming from the front, and less sensitive to signals coming from the back and sides. When you play back stereo X/Y tracks in mono, you'll end up with a fuller sound than a single-microphone recording would offer.

Applications

The Zoom XYH-6 X/Y can be used in combination with Zoom H5 and H6 handheld recorders. Thanks to its X/Y technology, this capsule is ideal if you're covering a wide range, but want to register the central sounds in high definition. The Zoom XYH-6 X/Y comes standard with the Zoom H6, but can also be purchased separately. Removing the capsule is easy: apply some pressure to the buttons on the sides and it cleanly comes off. If you want to record extremely high volumes, this Zoom capsule is a fantastic accessory, as it has a maximum SPL of 140 dB.

I had my Zoom H6 for Approximately 7years and the XY capsule developed a crackle. The replacement reminds me how good this mic set up is. Highly recommend this replacement.
