Allmänt

The Sennheiser E 901 is a boundary condenser microphone that beautifully registers the sound of your kick drum. If you place it directly in your kick drum, it might slide and the vibrations might cause noise. In order to prevent this, Kelly SHU have developed the Flatz, a shockmount system that isolates the E 901 from the shell of your kick drum. The microphone is suspended in the middle of the shell, near the beater. This way, the Flatz allows you to achieve ideal recording circumstances.

Easy mounting of the Flatz

With the various Kelly SHU shockmount systems, you can easily achieve optimal recordings of your kick drum. The Flatz can be simply mounted in the shell without having to damage it, as you can use the screws of the drum itself to secure it. Once in place, you won't ever have to dismantle it again (for transport, for instance). The Flatz and E901 microphone will stay in position without any problems. All you have to do is plug in an XLR an you are provided with an optimal kick drum sound. Clearly illustrated installation instructions are included.

Optimal fit

The Kelly SHU Flatz comes in three versions, including this one, which is fit for the Sennheiser E 901. The Flatz is also available for the Shure Beta 91/91A or the Shure SM 91. This way, an optimal fit is achieved, allowing for safe transportation.
