Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S25: Fatar keys
In the world of keys, the name Fatar is an institution. The keyboard manufacturer guarantees a smooth playing experience without an unpleasant 'plastic' feel. The Komplete Kontrol S25 sports a Fatar keyboard, which enables you to intuitively control Komplete's many samples, aided by the Light Guide system, which uses coloured LEDs to indicate the function of the keys (think of key switches in orchestral samples, for instance). Eight knobs with matching displays make it easy to adjust the parameters in Komplete without using your computer mouse.
Ribbon controllers and browser section
Located on the left side of the keyboard you'll find two ribbon controllers. They have taken the place of the familiar modulation and pitch bend wheels because of their natural feel, and can be assigned to various functions. Native Map, which automatically maps all the main parameters for a Komplete 10 instrument, is included. A browser section on the right side of the keyboard allows you to easily browse Komplete 10's comprehensive library. Throw in a set of practical transport buttons, and you've got yourself an exceptionally comprehensive keyboard controller!
Native Kontrol Standard
The launch of the Komplete Kontrol S88 was a good reason for Native Instruments to create something especially sophisticated. As mentioned before, this USB/MIDI keyboard series has handy LED lights above the keys, which is particularly great when you're working with Kontakt libraries. Not every virtual instrument is a Kontakt library, however. This is where the new NKS technology comes in - a brand-new standard that other software developers are also utilising. This means other developers can profit from those LED lights, the Native Browser, the Native Map and the Smart Play functions. Naturally, those other developers will need to update their software to some extent, but many already are, such as Arturia, U-He, Spitfire, ProjectSAM, Softube and Waldorf, for starters. The expectation is that this list will grow and that this integration might just be an important milestone in the history of music technology development!

Geweldig product in samenwerking met NI Complete 10 Ultimate,
Je hebt oneindig veel mogelijkheden, en het verplaatsen van de ene Knob naar andere is zo eenvoudig met de controlles op het toesenboard.
Ik heb er tot nu toe nog heel veel plezier in, ook omdat ik nu zelf nogmaal met mijn muziek kan beginnen.
Totaal pakket is zeker een aanrader. Vooral omdat je dan alles bij de hand hebt.
Perfect, super apparaat, ook snel geleverd. Ik ben fan van alle producten van Native instruments. Koop echt alles hier by Bax.

Zeer tevreden over dit keyboard zelf, maar Logic Pro-gebruikers opgelet: het op zich prachtige Native Map -systeem kan niet gebruikt worden om data in Logic op te nemen. (knopbewegingen e.d).
Alleen wel door het keyboard als simple MIDI-controller te gebruiken en de knoppen handmatig toe te wijzen aan plugins, maar dan mis je dus de voordelen van automatisch toegewezen parameters aan de knoppen. Dit was voor mij een behoorlijke domper, vandaar maar 3 sterren. Wachten op een volgende update misschien (?)
