For some, the Korg MicroKey 37 was a little too small to match their requirements. Luckily, Korg has remedied that problem with the introduction of the MicroKey 61. The MicroKey 61 USB MIDI keyboard offers a considerable number of keys, but still leaves you with plenty of room for your other equipment, thanks to its relatively compact construction. As such, it is ideal for small-scale studios that require a wide octave range but have only limited space at their disposal.
Characteristics of the MicroKey 61
The Korg MicroKey 61 is equipped with 61 keys and can easily be connected to your computer or iPad via USB. The MIDI keyboard also has a number of additional USB connectors that enable you to connect another MIDI controller, for instance a device with drum pads or faders. Naturally, the MicroKey 61 is equipped with the familiar pitch and modulation wheels too.
Software-related benefits of the MicroKey 61 keyboard
In order to set the MicroKey entirely to your preferences, a free copy of Korg's Kontrol software can be downloaded via the Korg website, which enables you to adjust the velocity curves, the range of the modulation and pitch wheels, the velocity-sensitivity of the keys and other settings. Additionally, the accessory Korg Legacy Collection Special Bundle provides you with a selection of legendary software synthesizers: the MS20, the Polysix, the Mono/Poly, the M1 and the Wavestation are all milestones in the history of electronic music. Their characteristic sounds, which are prominently featured in numerous pop hits, are all at your disposal with this MicroKey 61.

Dit product schommelt nog al in prijs op deze website. Bovendien stuurt bax-shop geen antwoorden op klachten per email na aanschaf van een product. Ook is de levertijd niet altijd snel bij voorradige producten. Kijk dus vooral ook even ergens anders. Ik ben niet te spreken over het niet echt zijn van no-nonsense site en winkel en reclame en dus de hoeveelheid onzin die om de prachtige producten heen zit. Het gaat om technische specificaties, niet om wat Bax er zo geweldig aan vind. En om wat er goed verkocht wordt of in de aanbieding is.
Goed keyboard voor zij die niet veel plaats hebben maar toch 5 octaven (61 keys) ter beschikking willen. Opgelet: hij heet niet voor niets MICRO key, de keys zijn echt micro, zoals we van Korg gewent zijn. Maar echte pianisten zullen zich dood ergeren.
De aftertouch werkt naar behoren, niet extreem gevoelig, maar hij luisterd :)
De pitch & mod wheel zijn beetje stroef maar dat kan liggen aan het feit dat hij nieuw is. Fijn zijn de gekleurde led lichtjes onder de octaaf buttons die mooi aangeven welke octaven actief zijn.
Voor mij persoonlijk was de gekoppelde Korg Legacy Bundel (waarde 200$) één van de plus punten van voor dit specifieke keyboard te kiezen en aangenaam was de ontdekking toen ik er niet enkel dit bij kreeg maar ook een Licentie voor Reason Limited + de 4 UVI Synsation synths (nog eens waarde 200$)! Reason Limited & UVI Synsation waren hier op de site niet aangekondigd naar ik vermoed dat ze in de plaats gekomen zijn van Toontrack EZDrummer Lite (dat niet meer bestaat)
Dus, als je nood hebt aan 61 keys maar niet veel plaats hebt of niet de prioriteit geeft aan grote toetsen is dit exemplaar in combo met min 400$ aan gratis synth plugins (waarvan de Legacy collection ook echt echt de moeite is) een zeer goede keus.
Ik ben er alvast super blij mee, ook de levering was top, 5 sterren wat mij betreft maar ik wil nogmaals duidelijk onderstrepen dat ik op voorhand bewust was van de kleine keys.

*keyboard doet wat ik ervan verwacht *toetsen, aftertouch prima *kleiner formaat toetsen voor mij geen probleem, en dat is iets wat je overweegt bij de aanschaf of niet. *één minpuntje is dat bij software-bundel EZdrummer niet meer te downloaden is, in tegenstelling dat het overal nog wel wordt vernoemd (ook op de doos).
*service Bax : top ! *Heb zelf dag na bestelling kunnen gaan ophalen in winkel Antwerpen. Dat was mijn bedoeling want zo heb ik die winkel ook es gezien. Vriendelijk personeel, mooie uitstalling van vele produkten!. Een snoepwinkel voor muziekliefhebbers/DJ's.
