This particular model is from the German brand's Superforce series. It's a beautiful, sleek design that boasts sparkling tones. The Superforce 30 melodica features 37 keys and an impressive 3-octave range. Thanks to its quick response, you can play with speed and expression. The melodica is often heard in genres such as blues, folk, indie, jazz, reggae and French chansons.

Unlike the standard piano keyboard, Hohner equipped the Superforce 37 with only black keys, which results in an unforgettable experience for the performer as well as the audience. Slip your hand through the strap on the back to get a good grip on the instrument. The melodica comes complete with an ergonomic mouthpiece and a black air tube. Hohner has also thrown in a handy carrying pouch with a handle and a shoulder strap so you can transport and store your melodica safely and easily.

De bouwkwaliteit valt een klein beetje tegen, maar verder is dit gewoon een gaaf instrument, zeker voor deze prijs. Qua klank zit het duidelijk een stap boven de iets goedkopere kinderinstrumenten; vooral in de lage tonen klinkt deze melodica goed. Met drie octaven heb je bovendien een behoorlijk bereik.
De stemming wil nog wel eens wisselend zijn bij dit type instrument, maar over de zuiverheid van de mijne was ik direct tevreden. Er waren een paar uitschieters naar zo'n 10 cent afwijking, en dat is keurig.
Geen absolute topkwaliteit natuurlijk, maar dat mag je hiervan niet verwachten. Wel zeer geschikt als instapmodel.
