The Meinl STB80S is tuned so that its tone is part of a diatonic scale, which is completed by other cowbells from the same series. As such, it's a great bell to use as part of a larger setup. Like every Meinl cowbell, the STB80S is also made of a special steel alloy. Other than that, it's 8" big and produces a bright, cutting tone with relatively long sustain.

The Meinl STB80S has a slightly smaller mouth than the STB80B, which means it sounds a little less intense. As the STB80S is tuned to a diatonic scale, it's very versatile and works well with other cowbells from the series, allowing you to incorporate other notes from the diatonic scale.
