If the standard six-string setup is just too restrictive, then the Ortega RCE159-8 Performer Series classical guitar will give you more than enough to experiment with. While holding to traditional build techniques, this model features the ultra-extended note-range of eight-strings, where an extra F# and B bass string have been added. To support the deep-diving sound of this stage-ready electro-acoustic nylon-stringed guitar, the soundboard has been made from a solid slice of North American cedar wood and the body has been made from walnut, resulting in sweet tonal fullness and warmth. The neck is also wider than standard and finished with a 70 millimetre wide nut, while the transparent gloss varnish completes a natural and elegant look.

The Outsider

The built-in piezo pickup is coupled with an Ortega MagusGO-8 preamp, so this guitar can be directly plugged into an acoustic amplifier or PA system. Adjust the volume and tone with ease via the controls hidden just inside the soundhole and start exploring playing techniques you never even knew existed.
