The extensive functionality of the Medeli A100S keyboard offers awesome potential. More than 700 different built-in sounds, 120 songs, 5 demo tracks, and 280 accompaniment rhythms that range from pop, to rock, to latin, and on to less standard 'world' beats. The A100S comes loaded with 61 velocity sensitive keys, and can be connected to a PC, Mac, or your laptop via the fitted USB-MIDI port on the back. Connect your preferred sustain pedal, and you have a complete performance machine at your service.

Wide-Ranging Functions

The various sounds provided can be combined using Dual mode where you can play using multiple instruments at the same time. The keyboard can also be split into two different sounds, so you can play one instrument with the right hand and an entirely different instrument with the left. Besides that, you get Transpose, Octave, and Harmony functions to experiment with alongside modulation control and a pitch-bend wheel for more expressive, real-time adjustment of effects like the vibrato when playing strings, or the pitch-warping of a guitar or saxophone sound. Using the pre-programmed drum-fills and guitar riffs, entire songs can be composed, and to help hone your playing skills, a lesson mode and chord guide has also been provided.

Sound

The A100S keyboard has been fitted with a set of two 10 Watt speakers so you can hear your playing directly and without the need for any external audio gear - and for silent practice, a pair of headphones can be connected. You can record your original compositions and save up to 10 songs to the internal memory, and for the best possible performance or recording, the balance between your playing and any accompaniments can be tweaked with precision, as well as the reverb intensity - so you can even make yourself sound like you're playing in a large concert hall. All of the on-board options are navigated smoothly using the clear LCD screen and the clean layout of the controls. This accessible keyboard is as perfect for complete beginners as it is for intermediate or even advanced players.
