Designed with the more ambitious beginner in mind, the Casio CT-S400 keyboard comes at a more than reasonable price and offers a small mountain of sounds and rhythms to help you get started. In terms of controls, everything has been kept as clear and clean as possible, so you're not overwhelmed by banks upon banks of buttons, while a large display screen offers deeper navigation. If compared to the Casio CT-S1, this is a fully-grown keyboard complete with hundreds of different sounds to experiment with, as well as a fitted pitch-wheel.

Features of the Casio CT-S400

Besides a high stack of sounds, broad spectrum of effects, and computer, phone, or tablet connectivity, the Casio CT-S400 boasts a polyphony of 48, so you're assured of full defined sound across the board. This keyboard can also be taken anywhere and played anywhere, since it can not only be powered using the included power supply, but by six AA batteries. At 4.5kg it's relatively lightweight, and a comfy handle has been conveniently integrated into the housing. If you want to take things a step further, Casio have even fitted a set of pins so you can secure a guitar strap and perform with your keyboard keytar-style.
