The Jackson Pro Spectra SBP V is an accurately-built precision tool for professional players. Developed specifically for adventurous bassists demanding exacting tone, optimum comfort and playability, and pure style. Starting with style, the unique 5-ply laminated body made of a mix of flat-sawn ash, walnut, maple, walnut and mahogany sports a stunning Blue Burst finish, while to balance its weight evenly, Jackson have carved out an offset shape with a longer horn at the upper bout.

Graphite-Reinforced 5-Piece Neck-Through Build

The 5-piece neck is made out of maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple and runs through the body for increased sustain and stability. What's more, the neck has been reinforced with graphite to counter warping caused by temperature and humidity shifts, and topped with a caramelised jatoba fretboard finished with 24 jumbo frets. Since the compound radius of the fretboard gradually runs from 12 to 16 inches, navigating the frets along the 35" scale-length is a breeze, and there's nothing stopping you from slinging fast-paced solos higher up the neck where the fretboard gets ever so slightly flatter.

Active Electronics for Maximum Tonal Diversity

To satisfy even the most progressive bassists, the Spectra Bass SBA V comes mounted with two Nordstrand pickups and a 3-band EQ. Anything from immaculate cleans to punchy crunch or pulverising distortion can be shaped in an instant, while the 2-way toggle switch allows you to kick the bass in passive mode so you can continue playing even after the battery has been drained. There's even a 3-way toggle switch that can be engaged to sharpen up the sound and add a solid dose of mid-range punch, all while the Jackson Single-String bridge ensures maximum note definition.
