To make this model even more versatile than the original, this Deluxe Active in 3-Color Sunburst has been equipped with a preamp with 3-band equalizer for tweaking your sound to perfection. That sound, incidentally, is completely noise-free thanks to the two Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups, which are the product of the very latest in modern technology. The aforementioned preamp ensures this bass can handle anything.
Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass: for active bassists
The bright-sounding maple fretboard of this fully-equipped bass has a relatively flat 12-inch radius which means you can tune its strings even lower than most Fender basses for smooth, fast playability. The highest fret is easily accessible thanks to the bevelled heel. Even though this bass features all kinds of technologically-advanced gadgetry, it boasts the unmistakable sound of a classic Fender Jazz Bass. If you want, you can always turn off the active preamp using a special switch. Lutherie, bois, peinture, vernis, ajustages PARFAITS ! Electronique moyenne : le potar volume "grattait" au bout de 15 jours, et l' EQ basse, c'était tout ou rien. J'ai viré le préampli pour un Delano sonar 3, et au passage j'ai mis des micros Delano (le micro chevalet est vraiment faiblard). Remplacé dans la foulée les mécaniques d'origine (qui n'étaient pas mauvaises) par des Schaller. le chevalet Hi Mass a un super sustain. Au résultat, une basse d'enfer : J'ai remis ma JB Fender USA dans son étui et je ne me sers plus que de celle- la, avec ses nouvelles cordes Elipse à filets plats. Un bon réglage du tout par mon luthier, du fric dépensé, mais une basse d'enfer. Faut seulement l'upgrader. (Une étoile en moins pour le préampli d'origine...)
