Since its introduction in 1951, the Precision Bass has set the standard for bass guitars. It has left an indelible mark on virtually any type of popular music. The American Standard P-Bass is equipped with a high-end Fender Custom Shop pickup and several modern upgrades that make it sound better than it ever did before. However, it's still the same reliable, indestructible workhorse it's always been. This is the 3-colour Sunburst version with a rosewood fretboard. For that little bit of extra sparkle, it is also available with a maple fretboard. This bass guitar comes with a case, a guitar strap, an instrument cable and a polishing cloth.
American Standard Precision Bass: timeless P-Bass tone
Whether you're chopping away with a thick pick or strumming with your fingers, the American Standard Precision Bass is equipped to handle any playing style and music type. The new Custom Shop '60s split single-coil pickup has extra windings to produce that classic P-Bass tone with clear and punchy mids and a fat, driving bass. Fender's P-Bass has been loved for years for its blasting, full sound and the American Standard Precision Bass provides bundles of it. Its rich, clear sound is also excellently suited for filling the gaps in the sound of electric guitars, which is exceptionally good news for metal and rock bass guitarists that have to deal with over-zealous guitarists in the mix.
Better than ever before, thanks to some welcome upgrades
In addition to the great-sounding pickup the American Standard Precision Bass has been fitted with several other upgrades. The body's base coat is much thinner than before, allowing the wood to breathe and resonate better. Playability has been improved thanks to medium jumbo frets and a modern, more flat 9.5-inch fretboard radius. Also, the neck of this guitar contains two graphite Posiflex support rods for added strength and stability. The High Mass Vintage bridge features the classic looks but has extra mass for a bigger tone and more sustain. Lastly, the lightweight Hipshot machine heads provide for a better balanced instrument and more tuning stability.

J'ai acheté cette basse en finition Pearl Jade metalic, manche Rose Wood. Je suis entièrement satisfait de cet instrument aussi bien au niveau du confort de jeu, du son que de la finition. Le cordier et les mécaniques sont superbes et offrent beaucoup de stabilité et de précision dans les réglages.
Je jouais sur Marcus Miller Jazz Bass japan et je me suis habitué très vite à cette nouvelle ergonomie.
De l'ordre du détail, ma valise ne contenait pas la clé permettant le réglage des vis longues du cordier pour l'intonation ; j'ai du en racheter une.
En fait le seul problème avec cette basse est qu'elle me donne envie d'en acheté une deuxième pour l'avoir aussi en finition maple neck.
