15" hi-hats are only gaining popularity and here, Sabian are stoking the merry fire with this set of 15" AAX Thin Hats. While some hi-hats tend to fall on the heavy side and can feel a little awkward as a result, you're getting none of that here. This hi-hat is gifted with an insanely fast attack due to the compact bell which has been given a raw finish so that, when combined with the extreme hammer-pattern used to shape them, you're getting a lush layer of complexity. Since the Thin Hats are literally so thin, the sound is rich with higher frequencies, and all of this is kept under capable control by the Autofocus Response technology applied in its construction. This kind of built-in compressor ensures that all the frequencies are kept harmoniously balanced to result in a more focussed sound, excellent stick definition, and a solid 'chick'.
