This external mini speaker cabinet is equipped with a 3-inch speaker and produces 2 watts of power. VOX amPlug 2 Cabinet: portable and versatile
The amPlug 2 Cabinet features a connector for an optional 9V power adapter, though you can also power it with a standard 9V battery so you can use it anywhere. As such, this is the ideal travel companion - especially considering it measures in at only 10 by 10 centimetres, so it will fit in any bag. Besides functioning as an external speaker for the amPlug 2 headphone practice amplifiers, the amPlug 2 Cabinet can also be used as a multimedia speaker for your smartphone or tablet, thanks to the AUX input.
How does the amplug 2 Cabinet work?
Connecting it is super simple: plug your amPlug or amPlug 2 into the amPlug 2 Cabinet and connect the cable to the headphone output. After that, plug your guitar into amPlug 2 Cabinet's jack input and you're ready to go! You'll be able to enjoy up to twelve hours of guitar playing on one 9V battery. With its characteristic VOX look, you can create an attractive stack with any amPlug.

it crackles....I tried it on my tele and bass, both the sound crackles, what is happening?
Prima en best stevig geluid zowel met vox ac30 als bass plug. De buren zijn weer blij met mij! :-P
Zeer tevreden over dit Vox product en snelle levering door Bax ! Wat een volume voor zulk klein apparaat !
Ook handig te gebruiken om met je Smartphone/ MP4 overal muziek te kunnen spelen.
Misschien niet duidelijk vermeld maar de AUX kabel (ongeveer 10cm lang) en een 9V batterij zijn meegeleverd.
Kleine tip: Bestel een 9V batterij extra, de originele zorgde bij mij voor geruis tijdens bv. palm muting, was door het vervangen van de batterij meteen opgelost.
OMgeruild voor een nader, kreeg dezelfde retour door bax getest, wij ook natuurlijk en het is resultaat is ronduit bedroevend, snap niet dat Bax zulke ..... kan leveren. This cabinet is advertised as having the ability to run off a single 9V battery but it just doesn't cut it. Even with a fresh 9V battery installed and with the headphone amp set to a moderate volume level, the speaker cuts in and out, rendering this cabinet useless for portability purposes. The cabinet performs fine with the use of a 9V AC adapter but that defeats the portability aspect, which is the reason I bought the unit in the first place. It would seem that a 9V battery, even a fresh one, lacks the voltage & amperage required to power this speaker at any decent volume level.
