The Starfire IV is back! This popular semi-hollow Guild guitar has been prized for its superior qualities since the sixties, and now you can get it in a sleek black finish. The chic dark look is accompanied by a double-cutaway, comfortable Thinline body, classic Bigsby tailpiece and a unique pickguard.
Starfire IV Black: Construction
If you need to be convinced of the quality of the Starfire IV Black, look no further than the strong 3-ply mahogany and maple neck. You'll find that the tuning is just as stable as the neck construction, thanks to the Grover Sta-Tite tuners. And if you still need convincing, just look to the beautiful mahogany body and rosewood fretboard. Of course, such a luxury guitar also comes with a luxurious case, so you can store and transport it safely.
Guild Features
It wouldn't be right if a semi-acoustic guitar like the Starfire IV didn't have the characteristic f-holes and Guild has also added their signature Chesterfield inlay to the headstock. The Guild Anti-Hum dual-coils offer a strong, sharp rock sound that'll take you right back to the '60s. Of course, the sound can be easily adjusted thanks to the 3-way pickup switch, and each pickup has its own tone and volume controls.

I recently bought the Guild Starfire IV (flamed maple edition) and it's really something special. This guitar sounds grandiose in the rock genre and very smooth/soft in jazz. Also, when distorted, the mean dark sound of the base tones make for excellent blues. Very nice humbucker configuration.
