Sharing a lot of the traits that the Epiphone Casino bore, the Gibson Original Collection ES-330 is a pure guitarist's guitar, not just because of the hallmark looks, but because of the singular sound and singular playing comfort of this throwback six-string. Essentially, this is one versatile, vintage ES-styled electric guitar complete with a lightweight, thinline hollow-body that comes without the centre block, and complete with a Trapeze tailpiece and deep-set neck heel, polishing off the warm and resonant foundation in timeless style. The Gibson Original Collection ES-330: Sparkling Cleans to Fierce Growls

Two Dogear P-90 pickups have been wired into the 500k potentiometers by hand, and are backed up by Orange Drop capacitors, polishing off an electronics section that supports sparkling and defined cleans as well as a more raw and fierce, growling output when the sound is a coated in a little overdrive. Even despite the lack of a centre block and even when it's jacked into a pushed valve amplifier, the Original Collection ES-330 is surprisingly easy to control, and can be dialled in to back up an array of playing styles, from blues to Americana; from sixties pop to country; and from jazz to indie and rock.

Pure Refinement

The neck has the comfortably rounded feel of a C-profile carve, which is only reinforced by the 12 inch radius of the Indian rosewood fretboard and set of twenty-two medium-jumbo frets. Basically, grabbing chords in the lower registers and spinning tasty licks further up in the higher registers has never felt so smooth or so controlled. The stability of this model is just as refined: from the fully adjustable ABR-1 bridge to the GraphTech nut and Vintage Deluxe machine heads, so this guitar also boasts supreme tuning and intonation. For good measure, Gibson has included a form-fitting Gibson hardshell case.
