The sleek form of the Carl Martin Ottawa is home to an envelope filter and auto wah. Carve out '60s style psychedelia, classic '70s style funk and plenty more using the central mini-switch to flip through three filter presets: High Pass, Band Pass, and Low Pass, the last of which is an awesome match for bass guitars. In short, Carl Martin has managed to pack an immense array of wah-based sounds into one compact and pedalboard-friendly stompbox.

The most prominent feature of the Carl Martin Ottawa is it's fast dynamic response. Play softly for a subtle envelope effect or slap the strings to release an intense, high-pitched wah. Use the Attack pot to set the dynamic sensitivity as preferred, while the Tone pot essentially functions as a high-pass filter - the further you turn it to the left, the more the higher frequencies are filtered out. Meanwhile, the Q-pot tweaks the bandwidth, handing you control over the balance between brightness and warmth.
