Fender's subsidiary Squier offers you the Affinity Stratocaster HSS beginner set at a friendly price so that you can start learning to play the electric guitar in a reliable way. The set contains a Squier Fat Strat that features a beautiful Brown Sunburst finish, a bridge humbucker and two single coils. This, in combination with the accessory Fender Champion 20 guitar amp, gives you a very wide range of guitar sounds to choose from. Other accessories are included so you can start playing right after unpacking - an instruction DVD is added as well for brand new guitarists.
Fat sounds of the Squier Affinity Strat HSS
HSS stands for a pickup configuration with one humbucker and two single-coil pickups. The single coils of the Squier Affinity Strat HSS provides those famous sparkly Fender sounds, while the bridge humbucker is more suited for rougher music styles, and provides a higher output and a warmer, fatter tone. This combination of pickups makes the guitar highly versatile. Its body is made of solid agathis for an extra full sound and the comfortably narrow neck features 21 medium jumbo frets, and has a large seventies-style headstock.

The compact Champion 20 doesn't only offer gain and tone control, but also an Amp Voice knob. This way, you can choose between the amplified character of an overdriven tube top, or a warm jazz sound. You have unlimited access to any kind of guitar sound plus a 3.5mm aux input plus headphone output - you'll be able to play along to your favourite tracks and practise in silence.
