The basis of the Revstar RSP20CR's sound is formed by the guitar's mahogany body - though also of note is the maple top, that gives it some extra clarity and bite. Furthermore, it features a set-in mahogany neck with a relatively short 25.75" scale length for optimal comfort. Top-quality parts like the Graph Tech TUSQ string nut and the TonePros AVT-II bridge offer excellent tuning stability and help this guitar resonate freely. The Dry Switch (push-pull) expands the palette of sounds even further.

Every detail of the RevStar series has been treated with care and attention so that each individual model stands out in its own unique way. To do this, Yamaha gathered inspiration from the vintage motorbikes that can be seen in the streets of London and Tokyo. From curved lines to completely newly-designed body shapes to characteristic finishes, these electric guitars are the result of years of expert craftsmanship. Aangezien de SG-reeks buiten mijn budget valt heb ik genoegen genomen met deze Revstar. Niet van de lichtste, zoals het bij Yamaha de gewoonte is (net geen 4kg), maar toch een schitterende gitaar. Ze laat zich niet alleen zeer vlot bespelen, ze oogt ook mooi. Prachtig :-)
Ik ben dus zeer blij met mijn keuze.
