Only a handful of guitarists boast a CV as impressive as Chris Broderick's. From Nevermore and Megadeth to In Flames and Act of Defiance, Broderick has left a fast-paced and extremely technical mark on the signature sound of countless bands - either by playing for them or by inspiring the guitarists that do. As such, it's no surprise that Jackson Guitars have treated the master-guitarist to his own Pro Series Signature model: the Chris Broderick Soloist HT6 in Gloss Black.

The Chris Broderick Soloist: Fresh Design

Someone with as much experience under their belt as Broderick naturally knows what they're looking for in their instrument so, to make sure he got everything he wished for, Jackson phoned up Mike Shannon to ask for a little help in building Chris's dream guitar. This means that, compared to the standard Soloist guitar, this signature version features off-set hips, deeper cut-outs for eased access to every last one of the twenty-four jumbo frets lining the bound laurel fretboard, and even a striking weight-balancing AT-1 headstock.

Ultimate Stability

The core of the Jackson Pro Series Signature Chris Broderick Soloist is formed by a richly resonant mahogany body shot through with a graphite-reinforced maple neck for enhanced stability. The result is an instrument that packs excellent sustain and, instead of a compound radius, Chris has opted for a more traditional 12 inch radius so rhythm parts and face-melting leads alike can be played in full comfort.

Surprisingly Versatile

Armed with a set of direct-mount DiMarzio® Chris Broderick passive humbuckers, this special Soloist model is fully prepared to deliver high-gain tone without any unwanted hum or buzz. Despite its metal-focussed build, this shredding machine is no one-trick pony either. Simply engage the push-pull coil split function of the volume pot to open up a can of clean, single-coil-style tone. The push/pull tone pot also doubles as a Tone Kill function that bypasses the tone circuit as standard but can be pulled out to serve as any regular tone control. To finish, you even get a kill switch disguised as a mini-switch.
