Harking back to the time when all Jackson guitars were built exclusively in Japan, the mouth-watering, innovative Jackon MJ Series has been fully revived and 100% Japanese-made. As such, every inch of the Soloist SL2 has been checked and re-checked in minute detail, and every detail has been crafted using the best possible materials, and finished to the best possible standard. Starting with neck-through-construction of the three-piece ash body and maple neck, immediately setting this guitar up with near-immaculate sustain. Meanwhile, the graphite reinforced neck is far less sensitive to the warping caused by either temperature or humidity shifts, and the ebony fretboard has been finished with 24 jumbo frets and a set of Jackson-standard-issue pearloid sharkfin inlays, while glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side-dots line the side of the neck. The compound radius of the fretboard starts at 12-inches and finishes at 16-inches, ensuring a consistent, tight feel when grabbing chords further down, and a flatter, more fluid feel when weaving leads further up the neck.

The character of this model is given shape by a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Jazz humbucker at the neck. This extensively-tested combo guarantees immense tonal variation and the definition demanded by any self-respecting metal guitarist. All of that power is reined in by a three-way toggle-switch and a single tone and volume pot, and since this is a Jackson MJ Series guitar, it comes loaded with a Gotoh GE1996T double-locking tremolo bridge that's able to withstand the most acrobatic of tremolo tricks, and a set of Dunlop strap-locks to ensure maximum on-stage security.
