The Ibanez RGAT62 is an exceptionally stable and versatile electric guitar thanks to its neck-through construction. The body is made of mahogany while the neck is made of 5 pieces of maple and walnut and the fretboard is made of jatoba. The neck has a fast Wizard III profile and the fretboard has a comfortable 15.75-inch radius and 24 jumbo frets. The wood types used in its construction give the RGAT62 a sound with excellent definition and clarity with prominent mids which is perfect for full-throttle power chording or heavy riffing. The fixed bridge along with the neck-through connection ensure excellent resonance and sustain too.
RGAT62: pickups and sounds
Two DiMarzio humbucker pickups are responsible for delivering the sound to your amplifier. The Tone Zone at the bridge gives you a high output without any loss of dynamics so that all of the nuances in your playing can be heard. The Air Norton at the neck gives you plenty of sustain and overtones. Together, the pickups give you a broad sound palette to work with which makes the RGAT62 perfect for styles like rock and metal, but suitable for many other styles of music too.
