This model is home to an ultra-extended note range thanks to a Macassar ebony fretboard loaded with twenty-seven jumbo frets. Besides an outstanding level of playability, Ibanez have kitted out this less-than-humble six-string with a solid RGA body hewn from a high-quality chunk of African mahogany. This is paired with a two-piece set of DiMarzio pickups: The Tone Zone dual-coil sits at the bridge while the Air Norton S single-coil has been planted askew at the neck, where it takes a ruthless bite out of the end of the fretboard. Steer the output via the volume and tone pots, the three-way selector switch - and as an awesome bonus - the coil-tap mini-switch, to flip through no-less-than six different pickup configurations and a rich, technicolour array of tonal profiles. Other smaller yet just as deluxe details include a set of Gotoh machines heads and a full gold-plated hardware pack. In short, this is clean, tight and immaculately finished sonic-based quality.
