Hagstrom Fantomen Worn Denim Electric Guitar

In collaboration with Swedish metal royalty, Ghost, Hagstrom developed the fresh Fantomen solid-body. The looks and sound of this electric offset perfectly echo the dark heaviness of the band. The considerably large mahogany body and irksome, upside down head are typical Hagstrom quirks and, because this is a Hagstrom model, the guitar retains perfect balance. The glued neck has also been shaped using mahogany and is supported by a fretboard made of resinator. Resinator is a further developed version of ebonol which faithfully mimics the sound of ebony.
The Fantomen: Speed and Flexibility
The tight 25.5-inch scale length and 15-inch fretboard radius have a direct effect on the level of comfort, speed and agility that can be reached when playing this instrument. A classic stoptail tailpiece is mounted and couples with the Longtravel T-O-M bridge to add a layer of extra sustain and, along with the scale length, give the Fantomen a richly defined foundation sound. Both passive humbuckers were designed by none other than John Lundgren; also famous for designing pickups for Meshuggah. A No. 2 humbucker sits at the neck and a No. 5 at the bridge and together, they produce solid distortions and sweet, warm cleans to support thick riffs and highly dynamic leads.

Deze gitaar is het beste geschenk dat ik kon geven aan een Ghost fan (samen met tickets voor het sportpaleis).
De Hagstrom Fantomen Worn Denim is een absolute topper voor zowel beginnende als ervaren gitaristen die op zoek zijn naar een uniek instrument met karakter en prestaties. Vanaf het moment dat ik de gitaar uit de doos haalde, was ik onder de indruk van het opvallende design. De Worn Denim-afwerking heeft een stoere, vintage uitstraling, terwijl het slanke en moderne ontwerp tegelijkertijd eigentijds oogt.
Qua bespeelbaarheid voelt deze gitaar heerlijk in de hand. De hals is snel en comfortabel, en de jumbo-frets maken het gemakkelijk om zowel complexe akkoorden als snelle solo’s te spelen. Het H-Expander Truss Rod-systeem van Hagstrom zorgt voor stabiliteit en een uitzonderlijk sustain, wat een groot pluspunt is voor spelers die hoge eisen stellen aan hun instrument.
Wat echt indruk maakt, zijn de Lundgren Design No.2 Alnico-humbuckers. Deze pickups leveren een krachtig en veelzijdig geluid dat moeiteloos schakelt tussen warme, heldere cleans en rauwe, agressieve distortion. Of je nu blues, rock, metal of iets daartussenin speelt, de Fantomen levert altijd een rijke en dynamische toon.
De gitaar voelt solide aan en de bouwkwaliteit is uitstekend. De hardware, zoals de tuners en de brug, zijn betrouwbaar en houden de stemming perfect vast, zelfs na langdurige speelsessies. Het gewicht van de gitaar is goed gebalanceerd, waardoor het comfortabel is om lang te spelen, zowel staand als zittend.
Al met al is de Hagstrom Fantomen Worn Denim een gitaar die niet alleen presteert op hoog niveau, maar ook inspireert om creatief en expressief te spelen.
