Built for the die-hard fans of that legendary Gretsch tone, this Professional Collection offering brings the very best in terms of sound, construction and playing comfort. This is the deluxe, limited edition G6130T Sidewinder, and it features a classic Jet-style body with a single cutaway, a tasteful Bourbon Stain high-gloss nitrocellulose finish to show off the grain of the flamed maple top and headstock face, and a dark and chic ebony fretboard. To keep this exclusive Gretsch guitar in full health on stage as well as on the way to the venue, it comes with a set of strap locks and a G6238 Deluxe Hardshell Case.
The Gretsch G6130T Professional Collection Sidewinder: Exceptional Look, Feel & Sound
Built in Japan, this edition of the Sidewinder brings way more than just an elegant vibe. The sonic profile starts with the airy foundation of the chambered body and the sublime tonal warmth of the high-quality mahogany neck, which has been set-in for maximum resonance and stability. This is masterfully translated by a set of two custom-wound TV Jones Humbuckers complete with tortoiseshell inserts, so you're assured of classic, sparkling twang framed by tight basses and softly rounded mids. Thanks to the treble bleed circuit, clarity is guaranteed at every volume setting, while the no-load tone circuit bypasses the tone pot altogether when it's pushed all the way back to zero. To complete the palette with some tasteful vibrato work, Gretsch have loaded the Professional Collection G6130T Sidewinder with a string thru Bigsby B3 tailpiece, and to keep the tuning stability fully on point, the headstock has been fitted with a set of Gotoh locking machine heads.
