The pair of exclusively developed Fender Kingfish humbuckers have been coupled with a classic Deluxe-grade electronics section: two volume pots, two tone pots, and a three-way pickup switch, all set up to scroll through a broad array of sonic weaponry whether spitting straight-up blues, or in fact, anything else. The Alnico V pickup at the bridge adds just the right amount of bite and dynamic range to support overdriven solo work as well as cleaner passages, while the mid-range-rich output of the Alnico 3 pickup at the neck rounds everything off with a sweet and satisfying edge.

The neck of the Kingfish Telecaster Deluxe features a four-bolt join instead of the standard three to raise the stability, and to provide firm and controlled grip while navigating licks and bends, it's been given a smooth V-profile carve. The rosewood fretboard has a flatter-than-standard 12 inch radius and comes loaded with twenty-one larger-than-standard medium-jumbo frets to speed up and lighten playability, and whether hitting rhythms or leads, this model is fully backed up by an Adjust-O-Matic bridge and Anchored Tailpiece combo.
