While the Meteora is a relatively recent addition to the Fender line-up, this comfy offset model has quickly gained traction among the Fender-minded in the guitarverse and is now available in American Ultra II Series form. The strings-thru body has been carved out of specially-selected alder and comes mounted with a fixed hardtail bridge and polished, stainless steel block saddles that combine with short-post locking tuners, which means you can count on rock-solid tuning stability, extra-long sustain, and excellent resonance. Also, each example is shipped in its own deluxe Fender guitar case.

The American Ultra II Meteora: Supple Playing Feel

The neck of the Fender American Ultra II Meteora is made from quarter-sawn maple, which is extra stable. It's been finished with a modern D profile and an Ultra-Satin coating for a fast-and-supple feel throughout long playing sessions, and combines with a compound fretboard radius that graduates from 10 inches at the headstock to 14 inches down at the body to promote effortless bends. Meanwhile, the Luminlay side dots, rounded heel and twenty-two medium jumbo frets lay nothing in the way of effortless fret navigation.

Wide-Ranging Sound

Fender has armed this high-end Meteora with a set of Haymaker pickups and a special S-1 switch that serves as a coil-split function, granting players access to a broad selection of sonic flavours, ranging from modern crunch to pristine cleans. In addition to volume and tone pots, there's also a dedicated bass cut control so you can bring every note to life, even when you've set up the guitar in drop-tuning. The frosting on the proverbial cake is the pickguard, which is made from anodised aluminium and helps define the futuristic vibes that the Meteora radiates.
