Allmänt
Treated to a handful of modern upgrades, the EVH 5150 Series Standard is based on the famous hockey-stick-headstock-finished, ST-style models that Eddie van Halen played throughout the '80s. This versatile, redesigned classic features a smooth satin-gloss finish on the back its Modified C Backshape maple neck, and comes loaded with double the number of pickups its spiritual ancestor packed.
The 5150 Series Standard: Formidable Sound, Playful Killswitch Effects and Extreme Divebombs
Mounted directly in the lightweight poplar body and both based on Alnico II magnets, the two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers shape delicious double-coil tone that's balanced out with lush trebles. Next to a volume control, a tone pot and a standard-issue 3-way pickup switch, this Standard Series model features an orange killswitch for playful stutter effects, as well as a double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo in case you feel like doing extreme dive-bombs. Here, you also get the D-Tuna system for an instant drop-tuning set-up.

This is a really great guitar that punches well above it's price point.
Paint finish is exceptional and the guitar is finished to a very high standard. Pickups are tonally well balanced with high output and the killswitch is a great feature. The trem, although a budget model holds perfectly and I really like the dark colour of the ebony fretboard. The neck is slightly wide and thin and has a profile that reminds me of a 90s Jackson.
The guitar plays really well and sounds great. Would have been nice if EVH/Fender had included some kind of gig bag but other than that this guitar is a standout winner, highly recommended!
