The ESP LTD M-1 Custom ‘87 is based on the legendary ESP M-1: one of the golden-generation models that helped to put the Japanese brand on the world map. This electric guitar has a neck-through-body construction where the 3-piece maple neck is shot through an alder body to guarantee a long sustain and superb resonant qualities. Meanwhile, the extra-slim U-profile neck, ebony fretboard and 24 extra jumbo frets turn this model into an axe for tone-based speed-chasers.
The M-1 Custom ‘87: With EMG PA-2 Boost
ESP LTD have equipped the M-1 Custom '87 with a Seymour Duncan TB-6 Distortion humbucker, the coils of which can be split using the push/pull volume pot. As such, the M-1 is no one-trick pony - in fact, it even features a mini-switch to toggle the active EMG PA-2 boost, as well as a non-recessed Floyd Rose Double Locking Tremolo bridge for fuss-free, dive-only action.

Super guitare. C'était un achat à l'aveugle car je n'avais pas eu l'occasion de l'essayer et je ne suis pas déçu.
Un micro, un boost, un volume push-pull, un floyd et on est bon.
Le manche est également top, quand on a joué avec des guitares type Gibson toute sa vie, on a l'impression de redécouvrir le jeu rapide. Le look aussi vaut le détour. Le côté Dark Metallic Purple donne envie de regarder les finitions pendant qu'on joue.
Le reste est finalement très facile à appréhender tant l'ensemble est minimaliste et efficace... d'où l'absence de déception quand on la joue pour la première fois.
