Designed by combining modern playability with a retro-style, played-in look, the EKO Aire Relic is a unique electric guitar with a style that's completely its own. The lacquer finish of the solid paulownia body and maple neck has been 'aged' by hand, creating the illusion that this actually shop-fresh guitar has already lived through an entire life-time of gigs. In fact, the chrome-plated hardware, including the tremolo bridge and vintage tuners, have undergone the same relic treatment and lend the guitar a comfortable, played-in feel.

The EKO Aire Relic: All-Purpose Pickup Configuration

As you've probably already noticed, this ST-style guitar features 24 frets instead of the more traditional 21 or 22. This means it covers an extra four octaves, while back of the body has an extra deep shape so that even the highest notes can be played with ease. In terms of tonal flexibility, EKO have opted for an HSS pickup configuration with passive EKO Vintage pickups and a push-pull control, fully preparing the Aire Relic to deliver an immense range of sounds that can be used for a wide range of styles.
