Prashant Aswani and Charvel have teamed up to design the Pro-Mod So-Cal PA28: a signature electric guitar that's fully built to be as stylistically flexible as the Guru of Groove himself. Taking its name from the influential shredder's initials and date of birth, the PA28 features an alder body to guarantee a tight-and-balanced core sound and comes with a deep-sculpted heel to give you completely unrestricted access to the highest frets. For quick-and-easy adjustments, the built-in truss rod can also be accessed via the neck heel.

Custom PAF-Style Pickups

A big fan of PAF-style pickups, Aswani worked with Charvel to develop his own signature pickups. The Charvel PA28 humbucker pickups that resulted are equipped with Alnico 3 magnets which ensure extremely balanced tone, where every note is backed up by maximum dynamics whether you've dialled in cleans or distortion. From full, overtone-rich chords to screaming leads, there's always enough headroom, musicality and sonic flexibility. In terms of hardware, Aswani has opted for a Wilkinson® WVS1302P two-point tremolo bridge outfitted with locking saddles. The superior stability of this set-up is similar to that of a Floyd Rose bridge but does away with the nuisance that a locking nut can be.
