Allmänt

Yamaha has been extremely successful with the introduction of their A series of eight modern acoustic western guitars with cutaways. They're excellently suited for live and studio use thanks to the advanced SRT pickup in the bridge, and their supple playability and good looks are certainly nothing to complain about. The Yamaha AC1M is a concert model steel-string guitar from this series with a System 66 preamp, mahogany sides and back, a rosewood fretboard, a solid spruce top for a powerful sound and a body featuring an attractive vintage sunburst finish.

The build of the AC1M

The A-C1M has a concert-sized body which, in contrast with the dreadnought style, is fairly small with a comparatively round shape. Besides being easy to handle, it produces a tight, bright sound which is balanced out by the solid spruce top and given warmth by the mahogany sides and back and rosewood fretboard. The body features a classic tortoise pickguard, elegant bindings and wooden inlays.

The electronics

An important characteristic of the A series guitars is their SRT pickup, which picks up sound from each string individually in order to preserve the original acoustic sound as much as possible. You can adjust the timbre of the AC1-M with the 3-band equalizer and the AMF mid-frequency switch, which also works to avoid feedback. A built-in tuner with display is also at your disposal so you can tune your guitar perfectly in the blink of an eye!
