The Takamine Thermal Top Series EF450C-TT combines excellent materials, eye for detail and a specially-treated soundboard into a truly superb electro-acoustic guitar with a Black Burst finish and white binding, an ebony fretboard with hundreds of little abalone and pearloid inlays, and a flamed maple back and sides. Add the solid spruce thermal top and you get an exquisite, vintage-style instrument that boasts both visual and sonic splendour.

The Thermal Top Series

Takamine's Thermal Top acoustic guitars are built using revolutionary technology. What's special about these models is that the spruce used for the soundboard is first 'baked' in an oxygen-free vacuum chamber to remove all moisture from the wood. The wood is then hydrated to a moisture level of about 6% to simulate the natural ageing process, increasing its density for enhanced stability and sound.

Palathetic Pickup and TLD-2 Preamp

The compensated saddle and bone nut further enhance the sound, intonation and tuning stability, while a Palathetic piezo pickup and TLD-2 Line Driver preamp team up to deliver the crystal-clear foundation sound of the Takamine EF450C-TT. Set-and-forget three-band tone controls allow you to fine-tune the specifics so you're assured of spot-on live sound.
