This DS flattop from the Dutch guitar company, Homestead, gives you the trusty sound of a dreadnought and the soft shapes of a sloped shoulder model. As soon as you take hold of it and start to play, you'll instantly notice you're dealing with an electro-acoustic steel-string guitar with sublime build quality and a finish to match. Since it's been carefully put together by craftspeople at the family business in Bandung, Indonesia, this acoustic instrument is built to provide decades of playing and listening joy and comes loaded with an LR Baggs VTC system for dynamic amplified sound that can be quickly and effortlessly personalised.

The Homestead DS: Rich, Accurate Sound and Masses of Volume

The core of the sound of this all-solid steel string is formed by the Adirondack spruce top. Combined with the Javanese rosewood back and sides and supported by a Macassar ebony fretboard and bridge, the DS shapes rich, accurate foundation tone with ample definition, tight lows and masses of volume. To soften the highs, the slim V-neck is made of a single piece of mahogany and finished with a satin-gloss lacquer for smooth and fast feel. For the optimal sustain of your chords and notes, the string nut and bridge saddle are made of bone, while recessed Grover Rotomatic machine heads promise stable and accurate tuning.
